Edgar Eugene "Jobe" Hawk
RIP 04-20-2012

I consider myself very lucky. I have gone twenty eight years on this planet with all of my grandparents still with me. Most of my friends have already lost loved ones in their lives. I have lost loved ones in the past, but it had been a while since I had seen them. My grandfather was just smiling at me the day before he passed. I am so thankful that I made it up there to the hospital to check on him. There was alot I did not know about him, and quite odd, no one knows where the nickname "Jobe" originated from. I respect that aura of mystery because we may never know where that name came from. I'll bet he was laughing at us all talking about it and asking everyone and anyone where this name came from. One thing that really made an impact on me was finding out one of the most important things to him was family. He'd always want us all together. That is why I am so happy I was able to see him. I told him, "I'm back home Grandpa, and I am never leaving." This is where I belong. He smiled when he found out I had a job already. All I can say is that I hope one day I can have a family of my own, and be half of the wonderful father and grandfather he was. Maybe I'll find the right person someday, maybe not. Maybe I already did, and it passed by me? Who knows. I wasn't the outdoorsmen like my brothers and cousins, but he still loved me anyway. I will miss you papa. I love you, and I will see you again one day!

Places I must see!

Now I don't want this to sound like a bucket list or anything because I'm not going to care if I die before I see these places. I have just been keeping a list of places I want to go for my own, and some, foolish reasons!

1. Tenerife, Spain: Yes a cool lagoon here in this photo, but also the home of the recording studio that belongs to Helloween! That is my main priority when visiting this majestic land!

2. Yellowstone National Park : I've been wanting to go here forever and I almost could have a few times but fate has laid those paths out and sadly I was not meant to step foot into a dormant super volcano... yet!

3. Wiconsin Dells : Of course the world's largest water park is going to be on my list! This photo here is of one area known as "Noah's Ark"!

4. Infinity Pool : Ok so this isn't really a place, it's a thing. A pool with a slick edge that usually overlooks a vast view and if viewed from straight on looks like it stretched infinitely into the horizon! They actually are very complicated and use hydrolics and stuff to operate. So cool though!

I always hate saying Goodbye

I know there are a bunch of people I'll be mentioning that I haven't seen in years, but you also assume one more hurrah until it's officially over.. and sadly that time has come. I won't be returning to the west anytime soon. Knowing my work history, it's unlikely I'll get a vacation ever again, but who knows what the future holds? For now, this is officially good bye from me, to a few wonderful people that I've shared some great memories with that I shall never forget!

Schason Jefferis
 - You are the first friend I made out west lol. I was working at a plastics manufacturer when I left Pennsylvania the first time. My mother and I transfered to Phoenix in 2005 and she had to hire someone to work under her. Enter Schason. She became my sidekick of food runs, because her, my mother, and I all had our bad junk food habits lol. Our travels took us to every fast food place imaginable. Sonic, where we ordered a ton of food, and right at the end I ordered one hot dog, plain with just ketchup, and that totally confused the clerk. Or an asian food place where, and I still believe, there was a cup of urine behind the entry door. I am sure there are many more funny quirks we went through as well! I'll miss ya! You have a wonderful family of your own now and I wish you all the best!

Scott Walter
 - You're the first great friend I made when I left the east coast in 2007. We met on a website he created for musicians in phoenix to hook up and start bands. One of the most impressive and talented musicians I have ever had the privelage to take a stage or sit in a small room jamming out with! It seems like yesterday that we were having the weekly open mic at the coffee bean. I'm sorry I couldn't be there when you got married and I wish you well! You and Jenny seem very happy and I hope one day we can meet up again!

Sara Snyder and Joe C. (I could never spell his last name!)
 - They may still hate me but I don't care anymore. We've been through so much together for some random girl to spoil it. I don't know if they'll read this but I miss them very much. Sorry Tom and Alycia for this, but they were my "Tom and Alycia" of the west coast lol. When I first got back to phoenix in 2007, I landed a job in an electric service company. I made friends with a girl named Christina Tilton there and she invited me to her Daughters Birthday party one saturday and thats when I met Sara and Joe. Tons of funny times were had, and even some fun trips up to flagstaff to see them when they moved there. I'll miss you guys no matter what you say!

Donna and Brandon Powell, Elizabeth Pierce
 - I met these guys through my mothers church which I enventually joined until I left. I owe them and Desert Springs Church alot. I don't trust organized religion hardly ever but this church had shown me different and through it I met these great new friends. We had fun parties at my place where hilarious events played out :p I'll miss you guys alot!

Juan Aguilar, Steven Enaco, and the rest of my Boyd friends
 - Juan has escaped them so hes lucky lol We had some fun jamming sessions at my place, and at work lol. Steven I met briefly but he swapped to my property and I got to know him better there. Good luck there at Outdoor, and keep yourself entertained lol, its gonna be dead during summer.

Steven and Kim Steenbergen
 - Well this isn't really good bye, we're taking this trip together and you'll only be four hours away! It was fate though. I join a church out here in California and one guy approaches me, and we snag lunch and the rest is history. I made up my mind last year that I was coming home this spring. One thing after another began to happen and slowly I was beginning to think I'd never find a way back. My car was breaking down, and then my income taxes were shorter than I thought. All of sudden the a text comes to me from Steven stating he has big news. Next thing I know they are moving to Ohio and that we could share a moving truck. There's proof of a higher power at work right there. I could have chose any number of churches to go to. Steven could have missed service that day. Nope, it all happened and we met and the rest is history! I'm gonna miss you guys too but you're a hop skip and jump away practically!

The Old Plastican Gang
 - My job, and pretty much Phoenix to me, and now its gone. To all of you who had to find new jobs because of the plant closing down. I'm praying for you and I wish you all luck in finding what you are looking for!

The Miller Family
- Thank you for welcoming me to california and being there for us in times we needed!

And to all the others I have encountered along my odd Journey, thank you for friendship and the fun we had, via text, twitter, work, or just at a random party!

Goodbye everyone, I am going home!

"I've got that feeling to need more and more attention
I've got that fever, don't leave me alone
I've got that feeling to make more than conversation
that is the fever, where's my home?

Take me home!" - Helloween

This random crazy world we live in!

Thank goodness for the technology of photo and film, otherwise these hilarious moments might never have been captured!

Have you ever tried to describe that "oh shit" moment, and the look on your face you get when you know something bad is about to happen to you and not even God himself can stop it from happening? Here you go

Even I have always found certain birds annoying, but beware the wrath of our avian friends...

Allstate Insurace - Hello Kenneth, how may we help you today?      Kenny - Oh you aren't gonna believe this shit..

Ok ok, so I lied about being a good ice sculptor.. ah crap how am I gonna get home now?

This is the true multi-tasker, morning jog and shower, check!

Let me just give you a moment to prepare for this. It must have be painful. K? Ready?

Moderators and their high horses

Oh yes. I have had the pleasure of becoming a member of a forum for the first time ever and it was not a good experience. I had the same Moderator repeatedly telling me I posted in the wrong area, and then finally she "warns" me worth of 2 points because I replied to my topic as I was trying to figure out my own solution. So I can't cancel my membership but I am done going there. I need help, but apparently they aren't willing to deal with newbies too well. Anyway here is the topic I started and the user Lone Wolf, thankfully, did post the solution but I didn't understand his answer until I discovered it myself. So I'd like to ask any of you out there who have only played old school final fantasy turn based rpgs, if you would have caught on to this without any help, because it confused me.

So there was the answer I circled in red. Here is what the database in the RpgMaker looks like

Now my problem was, even though I created multiple weapons underneath the weapons tab and their corresponding animations under the animations tab, no matter what was equipped, the character would just punch the enemy with a regular attack. Now my impression of the skill tab, thats where special attacks and magic are designed. How was I to know that regular attacks were in this tab? Yes the help manual states the same thing but in an even more confusing way than Lone Wolf described it. Here is how it should have been described to me, in a dumb person language:

Make sure the 001 skill's animation is set to "normal attack". Thank you to Lone Wolf though, He came very close, but look how far down he posted. NO ONE knew this apparently simple piece of advice? Yeah I believe that. So what I learn from this is that if you are new to something, find a different way to learn that the forums, cause its the law of nature there, and those who have no knowledge, are left to die out there all alone. I'll just slowly pick apart the rpgmaker and figure things out on my own. This is also why I know no one can help me with Ruby or the RGSS3, because they can't put their teaching into simple form for people like me who have no idea what they are doing. Just like most Bosses in real life, Moderators are living proof. Give people power, and they become douchebags. Hawk Out!
